I made this painting for those of us who need land around our houses. Having neighbors right next door is not an option and we want to be able to watch storms blow in from our front porches.
My dad and I used to sit on the couch by the window in our sunroom and watch thunderstorms blow in. Thunderstorms are powerful, but they also bring me peace. They wash off the dust, fill up our ponds, water the fields, and leave the world refreshed.
Let this painting bring you a sense of peace while you wait for the rain to arrive.

I'm Sydney Sultemeier, and my art journey began in the gorgeous Texas Hill Country, where I was raised on a ranch surrounded by nature. It was here, during my early years, that I learned to love drawing the world around me. The rural landscape, the crazy personalities of animals, and the hardworking, amazing people around me have become the focal points of my artworks.

After completing my pre-med degree in Health Science Studies from Baylor University, I realized that my purpose on this earth is to be an artist. So, I am now back at school pursuing a a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in painting. I know that I am where I am supposed to be. I am learning more every day, and I can't wait to see where this path takes me.
